Photographys and photomontages selected from the Blue Tickets Project.
The Blue tickets project arose as a response to Mathilde Amberger's invitation to join the «Utopia Azul» a collective artistic international project. It consisted of issuing a «Blue ticket» per day during 2008 - an image and some words / messages with at least a little beat of blue as the tickets should match with the sky they were intended for.
Like any ticket a BT, has to be dated and have alive and is an entrance or travel ticket.
During 2008 I developed this project by publishing the ticket for each day on the blog blueticketsproject.blogspot.com . I thus issued 366 tickets grouped by twelve different themes corresponding to the twelve months of the year. Two selections were the subject of dedicated exhibitions, one in Salvatierra de los Barros in 2008 (30 tickets) and the other in Elvas in 2012 (108 tickets).
The "Rios de Abril" (April's Rivers) selection was exhibited from May 29th to June 1st 2008 in the XIV Feria Ibérica de la Alfarería y el Barro, Mathilde Amberger' stand in Salvatierra de los Barros.
The selection presented here was exhibited from July 14th to August 12th 2012 at the Photography Municipal Museum João Carpinteiro, in Elvas.
Extraordinary issues of supplementary tickets printed in large format were also used to participate in two of the collective exhibitions of the Utopia Azul project, namely those held in 2011 at D. Manuel Palace in Évora and in 2013 in Elvas.
